What this journal is for
Olympus Journal makes three kinds of reading meet on the same page: close attention to ancient stories, practical orientation to Greek temple architecture, and critical looking at modern classical imagery. We write for curious general readers, students beginning a topic and visual practitioners who want to use historical references responsibly.
The journal is not an excavation report, a museum catalogue or a substitute for specialist scholarship. Its job is to make a careful first route into the subject, show the sources behind factual claims and state when an image is a contemporary invention.
